Implementation
The information system’s implementation is divided into several stages. First of all, it is about the technical aspects of installation on servers and stations, data conversion, user training, generation of printouts and reviews, working environment configuration in TWIST INSPIRE ERP for individual user, and an overall control over the first real-life run of the system. The scope and length of each stage is different subject to the size of the organization and complexity of works performed. TWIST INSPIRE’s implementation can be done in several hours or days in a simple environment, or a time schedule is prepared for complex installations.
Information system implementation stage
TWIST INSPIRE’s implementation usually goes through the following stages:
- a start-up analysis and project design;
- training;
- implementation;
- trial and real-life run.
1. Start-up analysis and project design
The objective of the start-up analysis is to obtain a detailed idea of working procedures of the company, and to address potentially problematic moments that you are dissatisfied with and want to solve. The start-up analysis takes into consideration your new requirements aiming at an improved efficiency of the company’s operations. A project is designed on the basis of outputs of the start-up analysis. The project presents recommendations for the best way of performing day-to-day operations, interlinking of submodules and accommodation to your requirements. In the end of the first stage, the designed procedures are demonstrated using the TWIST INSPIRE ERP information system.
2. Training – An individual approach
Training sessions are planned in order to meet a given customer’s needs. Training takes place in our training room or directly at your company. Training addresses specific procedures with real-life data complied during the start-up analysis. It is done by a consultant assigned to the project who is well acquainted with all details of the installation. Training sessions take place during the stage of TWIST INSPIRE’s implementation and afterwards, during the system’s operation.
3. Implementation
Simultaneously with training, the system is being implemented. Similarly to the content of training, the implementation stage is based on the start-up analysis. Implementation means that software is being installed, parameters set up, codes and opening balances defined, required reviews and lists generated, and any other customization made.
4. Trial and real-life run
Upon the finishing of training and system implementation, the stage of trial run with real-life data begins. The objective of this stage is to verify that the project was well planned, and that the skills acquired during training are strengthened and further developed. After a successful trial run and tuning of the system, TWIST INSPIRE ERP is launched in a real-life run.
